It's been along time-----Are we almost there yet?

Wow! March was the last time I blogged!  :(

Life has kept us busy with our upcoming military retirement and future move to a new state. I've been working on some new creations behind closed doors and excited about sharing my new creations once we are settled in our new home and state.

Lately, it seems all we've been doing is filling paperwork, applications etc.......We're almost done. Yeah!!!!

I'm  really excited about opening an additional store called: Treasures4School.  My new store will offer things such as decorated and altered school supplies, book marks, teacher's gifts, etc.  I will offer fun and whimsical supplies too!  I guess you'll just have to wait and see what surprises I'll sell in my future store.

I will definitely continue my original store called: LydiasTreasures4U in addition to my new store. I am so excited!  I love to create and I'm just having too much fun!   :)  I just can't wait to get to our new home so that I can get started selling items again!

Blog later,

Lydia  ♥

Free Advertising

Just wanted to explain my free Advertising  Oodle ad.

I posted some ads on oodle but the ad took some of their standard warning ad site disclaimers and blended it with my ad details making it look like a personal seller warning.

The standard beware ad reads like this: "Beware of Fraud. Stay safe. Always meet the seeler locally and inspect all items before you buy.

This is how the ad appears:

"always meet the seller locally and inspect all items before you buy. Beware of...LydiasTreasures4U on oodle-Fort Walton, Beach, Fl.3 weeks ago.ft waltonbeach.oodle.com/sale/?0=75.cached page."

I want to assure my customers that this ad is "Not" a representation of my work, quality or customer service.

I strive to always keep all of my customers happy with their jewelry purchases.

Please check my 100% feedback on:

Free Advertising

I just can't believe it. Promote, Promote, Promote.

Isn't that what we are supposed to do to advertise our business?

Well, I just checked out my Web Analytics and found that 23 customers had clicked on a link that said: Beware of .....LydiasTreasures4U.  So, I immediately researched the comment and this is what I found.

I posted on a free advertising site named Oodle. My ad showed a pic of my jewelry and informing everyone that I sold Homemade Jewelry and Accessories.

Well, my add was blended in with their everyday warning disclaimers and this was the end result of the oodle ad that advertised my jewelry.

The whole ad reads: always meet the seller locally and inspect all items before you buy. Beware of....LydiasTreasures4U on oodle-Fort Walton, Beach, Fl.3 weeks ago. ft waltonbeach.oodle.com/sale/?0=75.cached page.

This ad is false and in no way represents my shop, my jewelry creations or policies. I strive hard
to please all of my customers and to insure they are happy with their purchases.

If you look at my etsy shop, I have a 100% customer satisfaction rating.

Excited about adding 2 different categories in Etsy shop

I added two new categories in my LydiasTreasures4U.etsy.com store

A Paper Mache Category- This category consists of all handmade, paper mache Jewelry which can be described as being funky, wild, outrageous and one of a kind.

Junk in my Trunk Category-This category  consists of Jewelry that has been recycled and given a new life. Note :  (All recycled ear wires have been replaced by "New" Store bought ear wires)
Therefore, all ear wires on Earrings are "New".

I've spent quite alot of my time making some cute, Valentine Hearts. They are made of paper mache
and decorated with rhinestones or flowers. I really enjoyed making them of different colors giving
them a different look.

Take a peek and let me know what you think?  Any different ideas?  Let me know.  :)

After the Holidays

I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We actually had a very nice time with family who came down from Sacramento, California. We always enjoy spending time with our family on the Holidays.

Still waiting for husband to get out of the Military so we can finally call a place "home".  I think it's gotten to the point where I really don't want to move anymore and neither do the kids. We all want to stay in one place.  Hopefully, my husband will get a civilian position he can slide into soon.

Well, as for my jewelry making, I temporarily placed my Etsy shop on Vacation until January 15. I have been catching up on all the things I needed to catch up on. I've been busy making a lot of  new jewelry. I plan on opening a new line of jewelry called:  Recycled Jewelry (Jewelry with a second life)

A jewelry line for people who like the idea of giving old jewelry a second chance before it is chunked in the garbage. In other words, old, detash jewelry is taken apart, and then recycled by completely making a new jewelry piece out of the old piece. (For example: If I have a plastic oval off of a necklace, I take it apart and attach it to a flower charm that was off of a bracelet and then I  attach any other loose charms etc. off of other pieces and create something new.)

***Note*****
All jewelry is given a good cleaning and All old earwires are thrown away in the trash and  "NEW" (Never Used) ear wires replace the old ones. So no need to worry about using used ear wires.  :)

Well, I will let you take a quick peek at a couple of my new creations that I haven't posted yet in my shop on Etsy. These items will be placed for sale after the 15th of this month.  :)  Hope you like them!
